Text: gabriela leandro, journalism academic, volunteer at the news agency edition: ricardo bonfanti, journalistthis tuesday (24) the collective exhibition “jardins pictóricas” begins, at the ufsm institutional space, at shopping praça nova. Promoted by students and graduates of visual arts courses (bachelor's and full degree) and the postgraduate program in visual arts at ufsm (ppgart), the action will run until january 31st. Curated by professor karine perez, the activity is part of the extension project “itinerant pictorial actions: artistic production and diffusion in public spaces”, linked to the pictorial processes research group (gpicto).

The creative theme of the paintings are subjective gardens, a theme influenced by the ufsm space in the shopping mall, which has elements such as a vertical garden. With this, we seek to establish a dialogue between the painted images and the objects already existing in the structure, through the multiple perspectives of the students and artists participating in the project. The extension project “itinerant pictorial actions: production and artistic diffusion in public spaces” is motivated by the need to reduce gaps between the artistic processes developed at the university and the external community. It aims to make artistic-cultural actions related to painting available to society, by involving its developments and processes in public spaces in santa maria, promoting actions such as the production of artistic works, exhibitions and workshops. The participating artists are: aline batista, amanda azevedo, amanda prevedello, ana julia dotto guaragni, anita rizzatti, avel (andressa freitas), bea sense (bianca borges),
